We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Heron Works project management agency for an immediate client engagement managing the implementation of a contact center software across a health system. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), 3-month contract with the potential for extension, paying $70–80/hour. The role is primarily remote with up to 25% travel to Kansas City. We're looking for someone who thrives in client-facing software delivery work, can confidently manage multiple stakeholders, keep projects on track, and communicate clearly with both executive leadership and technical teams. Experience leading contact center, telecom, or unified communications implementations is highly desirable, and Talkdesk implementation experience is a significant plus.
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of IT project management experience with a background in hospital or health systems a plus.. You'll be responsible for developing project plans, managing timelines, budgets, risks, and scope, facilitating meetings, creating executive-ready presentations and project deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project execution from kickoff through delivery. Candidates with experience migrating legacy phone systems, deploying CCaaS platforms, decommissioning telecom systems, or supporting RFP/SOW development will stand out. Heron Works is seeking a SeniorTechnical Project Manager to facilitate the implementation of a contact center as a service (CCAS) platform across a health system in the southeast US. This is a primarily remote, a full-time (40 hours/week) 6-month contract with potential for extension, requiring up to 25% travel to Jacksonville Florida, and paying $75–85/hour. You will manage delivery of a mid-large scale product, working closely with a team of 8-10 to build out highly customizable workflows for a broad stakeholder base.
We're looking for a seasoned project manager who can independently lead complex implementations. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of project management experience and a background in healthcare operations or healthcare IT, including project management, change management, or process improvement. Familiarity with Genesys Contact Center software and PMP certification are strongly preferred.
In this role you will build productive relationships with stakeholders and developers; communicate transparently to keep cross-functional teams aligned and motivated; manage and treat risks; and enjoy working through at times ambiguous situations to deliver value to users. You'll steward detailed project plans, oversee scope, budget, and resource constraints, create client-ready presentations and deliverables, and serve as a point of coordination between internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders. Experience with CCaaS deployments, telecom migrations, legacy phone system decommissioning, Zoom Voice, RFP/SOW development, and strong executive communication skills are highly valued.
